We are delighted with the fact that over the last 35 years we have continued to offer our customers free use of a courtesy car.
We are still able to do offer you with a courtesy car, but due to new restrictions placed on us by our insurance company, an insurance charge may apply.
If you have a fully comprehensive insurance policy and you are the policy holder then no charge will apply whereas if you are a named driver on a fully comprehensive insurance policy (ie. third party insured) then a charge will be applied.
The insurance charge for this is £10.00 for the first day and £5.00 for each day thereafter (inclusive of VAT).
|TYPE OF POLICY||DRIVER AND CHARGE (if applicable)|
Policy Holder - No charge
Named Driver - Charge
|Third Party / Third Party Fire and Theft||Any Driver - Charge|
In addition to this, we are now required to take a copy of your driving licence (including counterpart) and also your insurance policy. We are sorry, but without production of these documents we will be unable to provide you with a courtesy vehicle.
In the unlikely event of a claim being made, we have an excess of £1,000.00 on our policy which must be paid for by yourself.
You must also be over 21 years of age and hold a valid and full driving licence. Any speeding or parking fines received whilst the courtesy car is in your custody must be paid for by yourself. The courtesy car will require fuel (as we do provide these cars free of charge – we just ask you to put in the fuel you require) and as per the law, there is no smoking allowed. We also maintain, courtesy cars must be kept clean and no pets are allowed.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we want to thank you for your continued support. If you require any additional information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0151-632 4101.
